When I first left home I would say it was a milk crate and duct tape motifee, but now I would say I close to a minimalist. Very little art on the walls, no knicknacs, white walls etc. My furniture is still garage sale thifts but if I had the money I would like clean simple lines. How do you decorate you home? If money wasn't a factor how would it be different?

If money wasn't an object, the main rooms of the house would be decorated in antiques mostly from the Victorian era. Especially the den, which would have a full library. Since that's not the case, the stuff we have either doesn't fit in the house, or have any coordination. Its ecclectic at best. Traveling through almost 20 countries, I've picked up way too many knick knacks. At one point, it looked like the house was going to be more Sante Fe style. But, a supertypoon ended that.

Its pretty interesting, but it makes decorating a real bear! When I buy my own house, and pull the stuff out of my parents house, the house will look like a mueseum... The centerpiece will be a Byzantine Cow Bell that doesn't have much value...Long story, but its the one thing that catches everyone's eye. I can't explain that one. LOL
