Okay, I am reading the news and CNN is talking about an 11 year old girl who is busted for drunk driving, there was a car chase hitting up to 100 mph. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/07/06/child.driver.chase.ap/index.html?eref=rss_topstories The stories ends like this: "Duck declined to release the girl's blood alcohol level but said a blood test at the hospital showed it was higher than .02, the legal limit for minors" I though that minors could not drink, it was against the law, therefore having a legal blood alcohol limit for minors seems very wrong. Is it just in Alabama? What is your take on this? Do you know if your state has a law like this? Is this a bit crazy or is it me?

I am with you it is a bit crazy. It should be 0. I am not sure if we have laws like this in OH but there are alot of weird ones, so it would not surprise me. She should definitely be in big trouble.

This isn't just a bit crazy, this is totally crazy to say the very least. Here in Canada the legal age is 18 where I live. I know it used to be 21 in the US and it should be that all over. At 11 years old, my question is, who's the sick unit that gave this child the booze in the first place? Charges should apply here as well as a good swift kick. This poor girl needs help fast. Our whole world is going to (H)(E) double hockey sticks. (LL)

I agree, totally crazy. My son at 11 would not have dreamed of drinking and then driving a car, it just would not happen. Sometimes I wish I was a fly on the wall to see how the world works.
