Has a snake every come into your house?

When I was a kid, a big snake came out of the nearby fields and slithered through our living room. He left very quickly, but the experience stayed with me for a long time.
For awhile I worried that there might be snakes under my covers, so I'd push all my covers back to check before getting in. Funny kid logic, I guess.
So what about you? Have you ever had a dangerous snake come into your home? How did you get rid of it?

No I live in a high-rise building and it would be really freaky if a snake could pass into my place. My mom recently encouters some snakes going into where she lives (she is in Thailand currently). She freaked out and she is very scared as she hadn't seen a snake in her life before. I am sure the memory will stay with her and she got so scared to a point that she moved to another building (instead of a house near a field). I remember how scared she sounded when she was talking to me over the phone.

I have not got a snake on my house but once I got a rat and he ran on the house and I killed the rat in the street.

My daughter found one in my minivan when she was 5. She came running into the house all hysterical and crying. The snake was about 8 inches long. My cat brings garter snakes home too.

no never happened to me. All of our doors have screens so we never leave them open without barrier for anything to come in unless very small mosquitos. we have grass snakes here but not the big ones and they never get into the house. if there is any I would be horrified and probably move out of the place.

Wow! No, it's never happened. However, I definitely do get freaked out by spiders. They have fallen on my body before so I get paranoid! Well, so I know I would be getting all worried about snakes if they came into my house :(. It's never happened though :)

I haven't had one in my actual house. But here recently I had one on my back porch. I turned around from the computer and was going to go out the sliding glass doors when I noticed a big black snack right in front of the grill. It scared the daylights out of me.

Not IN the house. But we did have one right outside our door once! We also had a garden snake on the fence. But my neighbours did get snakes in the house. Scary!!

no,thank god-but i did have one living in my garage.
you had to be very careful going in there to get anything you never knew where he was hiding.
the onsite landlord finally called somebody to remove it.

Never had a dangerous snake in the house but then we dont have any in the UK but once at my ex boyfriends house they had a grass snake come in and his dad chopped its head off with a letter opener his mum still doesnt know!
