Shouldn't The Pyramids of Giza be in the New 7 Wonders of the World.

The Pyramids of Giza - The Pyramids of Giza used to be one of the 7 wonders of the world until 07/07/07.
These massive monuments are the burial tomb of the great pharoahs of egypt.
They hold the whole culture of this whole civilization.
Shouldn't it have been in the new 7 wonders list?

This magnifecent structure has stood the tests of time and has brought the ancient Egyptian culture to us. By looking at it itself brings us the dreams of the ancient cultures history to us. Shouldn't they have been in the new 7 wonders of the world. It happens to be the site of thousands of archeoligical reserches and is one of the most crowd pulling tourist place in the world over. Then why was it left out!

I believe the pyramids are one of the ancient wonders of the world so it was naturally excluded. I am pretty sure it is the only surviving orginal wonder and so belongs in a category of its own. Personally, I thought the Space Station deserved a spot, but that may be the Trekkie in me coming out.
