Manila zoo as PBA venue??

The age-old Manila Zoo is in danger of being extinct like some of the animals it houses if the Philippine Basketball Association and the city government will have their way.
Are you in favor of this?
The Manila Zoo was a wonderful part of my childhood. It was in a memorable field trip long ago. After so many years, it's still a favorite field trip destination for young students and even families. I can't see how a mega structure to house the PBA can hope to compensate for the great educational significance of the Manila Zoo.
I love basketball and PBA but displacing the animals and cutting down century-old trees to advance the cause of basketball is both outrageous and appalling. I guess what people really want is a reconstructed, enhanced and not a banished zoo.
I hope Mayor Lim will oppose this plan.

i am against this proposal. i love manila zoo. despite it being old and most of the animals aren't that healthy anymore (which was what i saw about a year ago when i brought my kid there), i still want it maintained and actually FUNDED by the government. they should make it a better zoo instead of making it into a stadium. (is that what they're planning?) pba can be held in different stadiums all around the country which is better so they can promote in different parts of the country.

yes, I have heard that too and I just forgot to post it here, i think last or last 2 weeks, my opinion on that is no, of course for the simplest reason i think where will they house the animal and also Manila zoo has been the main attraction of manila or tourist spot,maybe not with these years cause we all know what is happening to Manila Zoo, yes if and only if there will be a nicer as in more pleasant home for the animals and yes cause it will somewhat modernize and make Manila more open to sport minded persons, but actually it will cost them much if they will do my second reason, but if it will be for better i just go for it since I can see that animals there are not to be really in good conditions maybe just give them to other zoos, but still the trademark somewhat of Manila is Manila Zoo, when children hear Manila - Manila Zoo or malls, thanks..
