CLASSIC VIDEO GAME!!!Why up to know Pacman has a strong recall?

This game got popular when I was a kid. And up to know so many people still knows this game. Is it the concept of the game? Or simply it's popularity? What is your opinion? How come it has a strong recall to the public?

You know what PaCMan is, it is a classic. I'm only 16, but everyone in my school knows pacman, played it or not. It is just one of those games that everyone will know (ok, most people for obvious reasons - in a developed country anyway). I believe that the originality of the game, is the key feature, I couldnt think of a game like that, probably why I like it, as well as others. I am not sure why people remember it so well. I dont really know why I remember it, I just do. Weird eh...
