Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse

Who has actually played this game for the NES? This one however doesn't have Simon Belmont in it as it has Trevor Belmont. He is on a quest to rid Dracula's curse and to fulfill the Belmont name by being a Vampire Hunter. Of course, there are also 3 other characters you get to meet and get to use but you can only have 1 other person. There's Grant, Syphia, and Alucard. I personally that Alucard is the best character to have as a partner since he can get out of danger by just transforming into a bat and flying out of a jam. Grant is good when it comes to climbing upside down and can avoid being attacked for the most part. Syphia can use magic if the right spell is out there for her. She is useful for that but it depends on your perspective. I've tried all 3. Alucard to me is my best bet of survival personally. But that's just me. There is also a secret to starting the game with 10 lives. You have to have the name "HELP ME" and it will be granted. Thoughts?

Never played it. I hope it gets added to the Wii Shop Channel though. I'm still trying to beat the first Castlevania. Is Castlevania 3 more or less difficult than the first?

Slightly more difficult but then again I went through 3 before going the very 1st one actually, kind of ironic. Though the best character to have to team with you based off my experience would be Alucard. He gets you out of jams a lot easier than anyone else personally but that's from me. It needs to get on the Virtual Console.

I think this is a really good nes game, probably one of the last for nes before snes took over the market in the early nineties. It has far more variety than the first game and its cool that you get to choose which way to go after finishing some of the bosses. The first castlevania will always be my absolute favourite but this one comes very close. the second one really sucks..
