You will get a star once you get 100 posts.After that your star changes colar and rises in number. This is because of your reputation on mylot. Others rare you by the way you respond to their posts. You run your mouse over the star you will see your rating number.

The star is givien after 100 responses, on the criteria of how many + and - that user receiver from other people :) It is a matter of pride, I do not think it has any influence on the earnings. you get the star with your username after you have posted 100 posts on mylot. the meaning of the star near the username is your reputation on mylot an it will increase/ decrease when any mylot user rates your post + or -. your reputation effects your earnings on mylot too, if your reputationis good you will earn more money for the same post on mylot.
