Have you visited the Leyte Landing Memorial?

Leyte is a big island, even a little bit bigger than Cebu. Unlike Cebu and Bohol, we are not known for many tourist spots. But we are known in the annals of the Philippines history. During World War 2, Douglas McArthur chose Leyte as his landing site in returning to the Philippines. So whenever you heard that popular slogan "I shall return" always think of McArthur and Leyte. I am from Leyte.

Yes, I've been to leyte and the memorial. I even posed for a souvenir picture with the memorial as my backdrop and spent a while in the park surrounding it. I could never forget leyte because i was also able to walk across the san juanico bridge which is one of its landmark... :)

I went there and it really shows the history of the Philippines as an ally of the Americans.
