I am going to start my first year in college after summer. I'm nervous. Is it, hard? Is it scarry? I mean is it like going into high school all over again just with different age groups. I look at it is, it's a whole different aspect on everything we've already done. I mean is it confusing. I dont want to get lost. I dont want it to be hard... I'm just really nervous to start and stuff, because your not with your friends anymore, and i've been with my friday stacy all threw high school.. =\

It is a bit scary, a bit intimidating. It really depends. Are you going to a school near home or living on your own? It really makes the challenges different. I went to a college about 500 miles from where my center and home base was. At first, it was incredibly intimidating, living on campus with a few thousand students I didn't know. It was like high school, but definitely not like high school. I mean, the cliques can be the same, but the situations are much more intense at times. You are living with people, sometimes entire floors that you work with, and you have to learn to get to know and be respectful of everyone around you. The way I got through it was just being myself and handling my business. I went to class, studied, but then I partied so hard. I made sure that I got the best of both worlds and being open and tolerant to others and their ways helped out a lot, too. Meet new people, make a point to talk to people you might not have talked to in your "comfort zone" because college can be an incredibly enriching experience.
