Okay once again I need to vent. So here is what's bothering me. We have our yard cut by a lawn company. The guy who used to do it sold his business a month ago to a new company. They normally come on Wednesdays. But since last Wed. was the 4th of July we figured they would take the day off and cut our yard on Thurs. Thurs. came and went no lawn guys. I call them Fri and they first said they would be there that day. They also said they were behind because of the rain Wed. and Thurs. So at first I was like okay. But now I have been thinking. Yes it rained Wed. morning here but the rest of the day was dry. So they could have still cut the yard, if they were in fact cutting yards on Wed. My husband seems to think they are just using that as an excuse so they could have a 4 day weekend. Anyways I had to leave the house to run errands on Friday. So I called them back to tell them I would leave a check for them under the door mat. You know what the said. They said sorry but it doesn't look like we are going to make it today. We will be there Monday. So yesterday was Monday and guess what my yard is still not cut. Come tomorrow it will have been two weeks. This is no lie. The grass in some spots is up to my knees. What really gets me is I was outside yesterday trimming my hedge (something I prefer to do myself) and they drove right by the house and never stopped. They didn't even bother to call me. So needless to say I am pissed. I have spent today calling around getting prices from different lawn services. I have found one I like and he gave me a price cheaper than what I am currently paying. So heres my delima. Do I let the current company finish out the month? Even though technically they haven't cut the yard at all this month. Or should I just call them and say don't bother coming back? The new company said they could start this week if I needed them. But as of right now I told him I was looking for him to start in August. So what do you think I should do? What would you do in this position? I plan on talking to my husband when he gets home. But it is really looking like I am just going to tell this company to hit the road pronto!

I'd call the old company and tell them that since that have not been there yet- they actually broke the contract and are bad business people- And then I'd switch- I mean come on- I find it rude for these people not to come in over 2 weeks- Cutting grass is something that needs to be done weekly-

You need a new company, seriously. Apparently they don't know a thing about customer service!

I would seriously tell the company to get lost because they haven't done their job... the job you're paying them to do. I would especially drop them since the other lawn guys you contacted are cheaper. Save money!
