Coffee-just how much caffeine are you getting?

How much caffeine (in mg) do you think you are getting every morning? I used to think that while there was some variation in the relative amount of caffeine in a standard serving across different brands, it wasn't significant. I used to think that, for instance, any regular cup of coffee would contain a certain range of mg of caffeine, and that range would not span more than 100mg difference. Turns out I was wrong. Go ahead and look at the wikipedia page for caffeine content in different brands and/or types of coffee. If you like Starbucks, you are in for a treat: it can contain as much as 500-600mg of caffeine per serving! Consider that a normal or average cup of joe has 200-300mg, and then review why it is that Starbucks is so damn enjoyable: it's simply more addictive! Post your comments pertaining to your perception of different kinds of coffee and the significance of insignificance of your perceived caffeine difference as one brand compares to another.
