WWE vs TNA Wrestling

TNA Wrestling is claiming that they will beat WWE with their ratings. They have former WWE Wrestlers including Kurt Angle and Christian Cage. With the current situation of WWE like the death of Chris Benoit and some injured WWE Stars like the Undertaker, do you think WWE can catch up with the curent rising to fame of TNA. Whats your opinion.

I don't think you can actually compare them yet. Maybe in a few years but it will take TNA making their own stars and getting another hour to help boost them up. I just think they need some work though. I do think it will take plenty of patience from TNA and a desire to create some different Main Eventers because even though having stars like Angle, Christian, Sting to name a few, they can't last forever. I do think it can be done but not now. Maybe in a few years like I said but it will depend on what happens with each company. I don't care if they don't go head to head. It would be best for TNA to just worry about TNA and not WWE so much but that's just me on that.

One thing that I notice is they dont perform in big arenas or coliseum. Maybe it has something to do with the budget but they are doing a lot of state visits or fans day. Thier commentators talk too much and that bothers me a lot when im watching TNA.

I don't see TNA and WWE on the same level. TNA is just coming into its own and only has one hour of TV time to get storylines and stars over. WWE has five plus hours a week to do so. TNA is an alternative form of wrestling in ways although I do see it going more mainstream lately. I think, once TNA gets a real cable deal (as oopposed to being buried) and a longer show (90 minutes is the talk), we can look at both and decide. WWE is far and away getting better ratings even now (three times higher) and is a household name to millions. Many don't even know TNA exists yet. I agree with the poster who said we should wait a few years then compare. If TNA keeps going as it is and keeps building their house shows into bigger venues, I think they will give WWE a good run for their money. Who do I think will win in the end? WWE. I worked for WCW when we could NOT be beat. We almost took down WWE (I didn't want to, I was a fan of both but that was the goal obviously). But WWE pulled it off and BOUGHT WCW! I think they may have interest in buying TNA as well as does one other group. That would be interesting but I really do not hope WWE does NOT buy TNA. There would go the competition again.

I really dont like to watch tna and I know a lot of people on another wrestling forum dont like it anymore either that show seems to be doing a lot worse now I remember a year ago how people hated the wwe and thought tna was awsome and that would be better then tna but tna to me is just a bunch of fired wwe wrestlers except for angle and christan they really need to create there own stars instead of stealing them from the wwe.

at least TNA is trying to be creative in terms of giving a name to a Wrestler like Shark Boy. hehe

very well said wotfpatty. i noticed this past few days that TNA is like running out of story lines and getting into personal life of thier wrestlers instead of focusing on the rivalry of wrestlers. i do believe WWE will emerge as the winner between TNA and WWE. bottomline is competion is good for us viewers, it gives us choices between 2 bananas instead of 1.

WWE will remain the best sport entertainment than TNA because WWE has better storylines than TNA.

Vince is very creative, together with his management team, they can pull another trick that will boost their ratings. If I remember it right its Vince who pioneered and introduced Pay per View to the world.

I strongly beleive that WWE would never accept such a challenge..Despite all those injuries, WWE is still a class apart.

Indeed WWE is a class apart from TNA... as of now. Maybe it would take years for TNA to achieve the level of acievement of WWE, but I would say for TNA theres no way but up. Im a Fan of WWE Superstars, compared to TNA Superstars, but if WWE dont come up of something to boost their ratings again just like the same ratings that they have before. I know and im confident that WWE management wll come up of something.
