How do you decide what to type here?

How do you decide what to put in the subject line when you are starting a discussion? I always write my discussion first and hope something clever comes to me by the time I'm done. I'm really not very good at this and wondered what the rest of you do. I always want to put specifically what the post is about, but then again I want as many people as possible to look at it so sometimes I will put something vage and hope it gets more exposure. So what's your reasoning for what you put in the subject line?

The way I've done it so far is think of what I want to write about and then come up with a subject line that describes it. I haven't really come up with any - wowzers - (I know, that's not a real word but that's what came out) but I guess I've done so-so with my subject lines.
