Hi...we have 2 cats. Our indoor/outdoor cat keep getting ear mites. We use a prescription drop med that works great, but when stopped (5-10 days) they come back. What do you do for that?? We would love to keep him inside, but he isn't trainable at his age now. (We ahve tried.) He only comes in to sleep and eat.

Call a vet and tell them the size and weight of your cat(s) and let them know you would like to get some frontline or revolution. Both are great products and they take care of everything. I know how pesky ear mites are, my cat practically only has one ear now. It's very uncomfortable for them and is worth the extra money to pay for better medication. Trust Me! :)

There is a treatment the vet put on our cat. I thought it was for fleas, but it is for heartworm and earmites as well. You might ask about it. It is a once a month thing, but if it keeps all the pests off the kitty... :)

Hi and Welcome here! My cats get these pesky things to but not very often. I really can't remember the last time they had them. The meds I got from the store worked on them just fine so and they never came back. You may need to see if there is something you vet can suggest for them. :)
