Bass Fishing

South Africa

I live on a farm in South Africa. I'm really into bass fishing so I'm gonna pop some bass into one of our big dams. Any good advice for me?

I do not know the laws in Africa but in the US you can't just dump fish in a public body of water. If you are talking about stocking a pond on you farm that is a different story.Ray Scott has a video series called "Great Small Waters". This is a setp by step process on how to build a bass lake.

You basically have the right to do anything with the dam if it doesn't harm the environment. And the dam is clean, no other local fish so it should be fine.

Funny this is that I also live on a farm in South Africa. My advice would be to make sure there is no local fish that is endangered and make sure the bass has a fodder fish like bluegill. By the way where do you live?
