I really need help with Blog and blogging

Okay this is little bit embarassing and serious for me. I heard a lot of blog and seen some of it. But be honest I'm almost have no knowledge at all of this blogging stuff. So please kindly and have patience enough with me and explain all about it. 1. How you you make one? Is it free? Is it like make a website? 2. I'm aware you can make extra money with blogging. How? Do you need a lot of traffic to your blog to earn from blogging? 3. HOw much time you have to put daily to make this blogging work? So anybody that already involved with blog and blogging, please enlight me. Thank's in advance.
