In my house its my hubby. I used to cook but when he couldn't seem to clean the kitchen afterwards I stopped cooking lol. Now he does most of the cooking (and quite well I might add) I do all the cleaning and we are both happy. What about you? Who does the cooking in your house?

My wife does most of the cooking, she's a Filipina and cooks wonderful food. I know sometimes she doesn't want to cook, we tend to eat out then, perhaps she doesn't trust my cooking!

My mom does most of the cooking in my house. I wish I helped out. I need to learn how to cook so I can help her out around the house. Well I am going to go eat dinner in a while. I want to learn how to cook shrimp, so I can make that for dinner one night.

I do, definitely. I enjoy cooking a lot more than my wife does. She gets home just a little bit later than me so it's usually something I get started before she comes home. She usually has issues with recipes or doing certain things (i.e. cutting vegetables) so it's usually a little easier if I just go ahead and take care of the cooking.

Thats so funny! My hubby says now that he is responsible for the cooking he actually enjoys it.

Hi there. I think both my husband and I do an equal amount of cooking, as we both love to cook. Although our son has an interest in cooking too, we let him cook when he wants too...

I do all of the cooking here, my partner is a terrible cook and I just think it is safer that I do it!! If I tell my partner it is his turn to cook tea he will go down to the local chinese place and get takeaway food! Last time that he cooked, he did steak eggs and chips and I dont know what he did but it wasnt edible! I am happy to do all the cooking at least that way I know I wont go hungry

haha, good you mention this, I have been such a bumb lately. I have not cooked I think in almost a year, and the cleaning I leave to my girls. My fiance on the other hand, cooks every now and then, and just like your hubby, he does an excellent job! I don't know, I mean, I work almost 12 hour days, and it's like, where do I find the energy to cook? I feel like such a looser about it sometimes.

I do most of the cooking in my house. I sort of like it. My dad was a cook so I learned from him (except cakes or cookies. I suspect they were used in place of bombs in World War II) My husband will cook when I am away or I will put something in the fridge, just in case. We both do the cleaning .

My husband and I actually share the cooking duties in our home. He does most of the cooking in the summer because he loves to grill. He does the main courses and I do the side dishes. In the winter, we rely on the crockpot alot, and then we still share the duties of main dish and side dishes we just switch. He does the sides and I do the main dishes. We enjoy our time together cooking, and we both like to experiment with different spices and different dishes. I think it is good for us to do it this way, and not that our son is 12 years old, he has been helping some, too. I think that it is a good thing to teach your children, so that when they move out they will be able to either feed themselves, or to help their partner out in the cooking area.

I would say that my family eats out a ton! At least 4 to 5 times a week. The few meals that are cooked here at the house are cooked by my mom.
