Well mine do. LOL My poor spider plants are short nubs bc they eat them right up. I let them do it. I thought bc they never go outside they must need it for some reason. What do you do for your cats to give them something green to eat?

Oh, if I bring a live plant into my apartment it's inevitable that my kitty will eat it. I buy fake plants for him to chew on and boy does he chew on it. I have a fake spider like plant and I have fake cat tails w/ grass. My cat chews on them all the time. It's crazy. I buy him some real cat grass once in a while. I think about getting plants that will be safe for him to eat but then I'm like grr...he'll eat it all! There are special foods for "indoor cats" as well as cat grass that you can buy already grown or grow yourself at most pet stores. Or do like I do and see if you can get your cats will eat them too!

I lost my cat a few months ago-it just disappeared without a trace-but surely Scuby as we called him, was purely canivorous-nothing short of flesh would it ingest! So our plants were always free of such menace.

My cats play with the houseplants, bating the leaves and hiding from each other. They haven't started to eat them yet though:), when they are outside they will eat a blade or two of grass, which helps to aid their digestion.

Cats eat house plants? It seems very interesting. I have never heard of that. Thanks for sharing.

I would say let your cats go outside first of all they need fresh air and to be in the outdoors, they crave it. And as to the eating plants; cats eat plants and grass especially as they get older to aid digestion of their food.

I only have one cat but he is so picky, he doesn't even eat cat food he likes human consumption tuna and meat so I don't think he would bother with plants, actually I have never heard of cats eating plants before, peeing on them yes but not eating them....
