I was surprised at what I found at this site: http:/www.lawatchdog.com/UnderstandingBorderFences.html It really does a good job of helping people thoroughly understand the border fence situation along the U.S. border with Mexico.

An U.S/Mexico border fence would help the border patrol control the border. There is not anough Border agents to patrol the whole border so a fence prefered made out of concrete, but chain link would help if they use barb wire also. Making the fence doubled line with electronic surveillance would give the border patrol the edge over the illegal. One other way we can win the battle is to militarize our southern border. This would be the easest way, but not to political correct. I am glad to hear from people that think building a fence is a good idea.

Sadly, it looks as though our Government does not want a fence built. If you look at the site naftasuperhighway.info that will give you some clues as to why. Building a wall will impede the North American Union plan which makes Mexico, USA and Canada all one country with open borders. That's a very scary concept. We should all write to our representatives and let them know what we think of this plan. I think there are border cameras, some of them are even web cameras where you can watch live on your computer. We definitely need more though.

What a coincidence I saw a programme on uk tv about the thousands of mexicans who die trying to get to America. I doubt your fence will work, what needs to happen is that American businesses should be heavily fined for employing illegal immigrants, they know what they are doing is wrong but still do it, shame on American businesses and at the same time America should quit flooding Mexico with cheap corn from their heavily subsidised farmers and practise what America preaches on the benefits of a free market, not a rigged market like they have now. If America wants to help, it should also be looking at providing employment so that desperately poor Mexicans don't have to risk their lives to get to America.

With the economy being in such bad shape right now, many illegal aliens are headed back to their home country because there is just no work here for them. American businesses are being fined for hiring illegals, as far as I know. There are factories in Mexico they can be working at. I remember hearing about it on the news, when all those factories were being built.
