Speeding Ticket Money

Hey, did you ever wonder just how your (or hopefully not your)$250.00 speeding ticket money goes to? Man, if they could just give half to the homeless or something ey? That would be nice. But man these tickets keep going up, I guess I have a lead foot but I don't mean to!!!

Here where I live speeding ticket money is used for police equipment and during certain parts of the year it is used for food and homeless shelters...At christmas you are able to pay your ticket with a toy that is given to Tots For Tots Program.

I don't know about other places, but where I live the money is split two ways. Part goes for the funds for purchasing bullet proof vests, and the other half goes to a charity for those affected with spinal cord damage. I read earlier that New Jersey (I've never lived there) also has a similar policy with the money they get from their traffic tickets.
