Most of the time I listen to positive music like contemporary christian. My journeys in the car are usually long and I like to stay focused on positive things, like God's love. I also like to listen to 80's hits, music was positive then too.

Katie... Thanks for your response. Ever one has their own taste. I love the 80's as well but cant really get into the contemporary christian.

I dont think she was saying Country is not postive. I asked what people listen to so she answered.

Oh no, by no means did I say that country music is not positive. I wouldn't know because I don't listen to it (never liked it personally). I was merely answering a question about what I listen to in my car. I love Amy Grant actually, always have. I do believe though, that today's music style (outside of country) is a little violent and misleading, if you really want to know how I feel.

yeah country is your favorite but I know you like other typs as well..LOL..afer all we do live together...we have pretty much similar taste in music but I have to admit you like a broader range then I do...guess I'm just old and set in my ways...LOL...This is just my own thoughts but as far as music goes I think the 80's has to be the best decade...yes I know the 50's 60's and 70's were good..but not the whole decade...I think from start to finish the 80's had the best of all..I know there are a lot of one hit wonders at that time to but stil...what do you think?

I love country music. I like a lot of music, but my prefernce is country. Like you, I grew up hating it. If a song comes on I don't care for though, I'll turn to alternative music or pop/soft rock. I enjoy contemporary Christian music as well. I like anything but rap and opera. Lord save me from opera. : )

HaHa..I am the same way no opera or rap...although I have to say...and I cant believe I am saying this....I have started listening to some rap. Not the really hard core rap. I guess I just have to be able to hear every word lol and understand what it is they are talking about lol. Classical is another 1 I just cant do at all..
