Ok, I have this old electric/telephone pole down in the lower part of my yard.No wires attached ,ok, it has just stood there for 8 years with nothing going on but looking horrible.Sooo I was wondering what crafty ideas can someone give me ,what to do with it.Can't pull it out, that work take a dozer or something to pull it out and cause a gaping hole in the yard. And it would look ksilly there if I put a big bird house on the top of it.Sooo help! Any ideas are more than welcomed.

Easy: Instructions: 1: Get the proper equipment: *Large truck (like a F250 or GMC 2500) It should have a big diesel V8 and 4x4. Try renting one, if none of your friends have one. *Long, strong chain or cable. Should be longer than the pole is high, and thick enough that you can be sure it won't break. *1 very heavy duty nail. *a ladder. 2: Lean the ladder up to the pole on the side you want it to fall away from. 3: Hammer the nail into the pole as high as you can. (To give better leverage) 4: Stretch the chain out in the direction you want it to fall. 5: Wrap the chain around the pole just above the nail, then hook it back onto itself. 6: Connect the other end of the chain to the truck. 7: Remove the ladder. 8: Put the truck in 4x4 low range, in the lowest gear. 9: Slowly pull with the truck. If you have difficulty, get a better truck. # At this point, the pole should break off at ground level. (This is where its important that the chain is longer than the pole is high) 10a: If the pole came all the way out of the ground, fill in the hole, and place sod on top, it'll be invisible in no time. 10b: If the pole broke off, plant thick bushes around it to hide the stump to hide it. 11: Strap the pole to the top of the truck, and carry it to where you want to get rid of it. Some suggestions: *A barricade to stop traffic. *Battering ram! *Border for a garden. *Part of a fence. (either as a fat rail, or cut up to make posts) *Sell it on Ebay (why not?) *Toothpick for Godzilla. *Giant tiki torch.

Oh, I forgot. If the truck's tires start slipping, try putting some heavy stuff in the bed of the truck, which will press it harder onto the ground, and give better traction.

Maybe you could paint it. Heck do like a totem pole design on it. Perhaps paint some kind of floral design, screw in some hooks on it and hang some flower pots on it. Or some hanging small pots of strawberry plants.

Best bet is calling around to find someone that knows what they are doing. Just getting someone that owns a chain saw can really do some damage. I wouldn't have anyone pull the pole out because you don't want tire tracks in your yard or the pole falling on there truck which will cause a lot of damage. My dad lumbers as a hobby and been doing it for almost 30 years and has made a lot of money doing it. You can call around for people that do this, and they can give you a cut in the money they make after the pole is cut up. I would honestly have it cut down and then your just left with a flat, smooth stump in your back yard that you don't have to worry about hitting with a lawn mower. You should be able to find any of these people in your yellow pages. Good Luck.
