Do Red Heads have more of a Temper?

While answering a discussion today about anger, I remembered what people are always saying about red heads having a temper. Over the years, I don't know how many times I have heard the comment "I bet you have a temper with that red hair." Do you think red heads have more of a temper? To me it is just another tag like saying blondes aren't smart. Do you know any red heads that have a terrible temper? I did when I was younger, but it has passed with age, and I don't think it really had much to do with the hair color.

I am a red head actually and their are times that my temper is so out of control people know when to back off. They also know when to run I mean run.. It's true though Red heads tend to have bad tempers. I think it has to do with being Irish though cause most that are red heads have Irish in them or at least I know I do and thats where my temper comes from.. I do try and control myself but I am very easy for one to upset.

Exactly, it's another tag like blondes are dumb. For every red head with a temper there is one without. I've had red highlights through out my hair all my life although now I color my hair red to match my complextion better. I can have a temper but I'm also Irish and my sign is a scorpio, gee two other indicators for tempers. Over all though I try to keep to an even keel on things but when I blow I do blow big time.

I have a couple of friends who have bad tempers, But only one of them is a redhead. My sister, who is a redhead, doesn't have any worse of a temper than the rest of us (I am the oldest of eight), so I would have to say that it is probably more myth than reality.

for me i think the color of the head is not connected to the temper they have,even the color of their head is white they still have uncontrollable temper,i think its not the color but the character inside of a person.its not connected at all to the color of head.
