Does your job require you to carry a gun?

I was just watching a rerun of that show about Dog the Bounty Hunter and I noticed that he doesn't carry a gun. I know that most bounty hunters do, however. Bounty hunters and police officers aren't the only ones that carry a gun, though. Often security personnel do as well. I suppose anyone assigned to handle company or bank funds would be wise to get a permit for a weapon. It would just be safer to do so. So, my question is this. Does your job require you to carry a pistol or weapon? Or, perhaps, your spouse has to carry a weapon on his or her job? Are you allowed to use it, take it out of it's holster or is it just for show?

I work with computer so I don't have to carry a weapon. but my brother in law have to carry a weapon because he works for a security company, it is ironically that he got a shot in his face when he was in his house and he heard people screaming outside so he went to look in that moment when he opened the door he got a shot for mistake, he was like 3 months without be able to work and but he is ok now, and he has not scars on his face.
