Can you remember the first book you read all by yourself? For me it was Green Eggs and Ham.

The very first book I ever read by myself was "Frog and Toad are Friends". My mom bought it for me at a yardsale...lol. I bought that same book for my daughter for Christmas this past year, and she loves it as much as I did, and still do. I was excited that I was able to find it so I could pass it on down to her, and I hope that someday she passes it on to her child.

Oh I loved the Frog and Toad books! My favorite was called "Frog and Toad All Year" or something and I just loved it!

I don't remember the exact title, but it was probably one of the Little Golden Books. However, I remember my favorites before I could read were "Runaway Bunny" and "Goodnight Moon."

The first book I read was Alice in Wonderland. I was about six at the time. I found doing those D-ck and Janes in Grade One hard after that for some reason. I guess I was programmed to read harder books than for my age at that time.

I honestly can't remember the very first book I read by myself. I do remember my favorite book as a child, though. It was called "Cats, Cats, Cats" and I used to read it over and over.. I think it's the reason I love cats so much lol I tried to find it last time I visited my dad's house, but I couldn't find it :(

I've read millions of books but if I had to guess, I'd say that my first book read by myself would also be Green Eggs and Ham. I've always loved the book.

The first book I ever read to myself on my own was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I still really like that book now and so does my daughter who is nearly old enough to read it herself.

Its good that you remember the first book you read, my friend. But for me, its very very difficult to remember that. But most probably it will be some thriller book, since I do like the thrillers most from my childhood and so I should have read some thriller as my first book.
