Tell me about living in a single wide trailer home/mobile home.

I checked into one of these several years back and where I was it was $29,000 for a brand new one, not counting the land it would be on, of course. If you are not near the coast (hurricanes(, to me it seems like a very economical and great way to live. I know that the general consensus about these is negative, but these days, they have a lot of extras. You can buy one with all the applicances included and pick out a package that includes carpeting, drapes, etc. I think this is great! I would consider living in this. Think of the money you would save over a traditional home. And if you do not live in a trailer park, you do not have to pay lot rent. Utilities would be minimal due to the size of the home, and once you pay off your trailer and land you are done. If you had a $30,000 trailer and land of $20,000 value that is $50,000. Some people spend more than that on high end cars. Tell me what you think about living this way!

i have owned and lived in three different mobile homes in the past. i plan to buy another one.they are very reasonablely priced and well worth the prices they sll for.why pay high rent when you can own and do anything you want to the mobile home.

I have lived in trailers before. I liked it fine. We could probably get in one now, except my husband needs a big garage... I see nothing wrong with trailers. They WOULD be very cost effective if insulated right.
