I wouldn't vote for that.. I think individual establishments should decide if they want smoking or not.

true, but if you are a business owner it is a different story you want everyone to come there, i never get the smoking and non-smoking section, because they are right next to each other, separted by a wall, there is alot of place i been to, i am not trying to make this a one side discussion. i guess i want a happy meduim where works for everyone :)

If people complain, then I guess they shouldn't eat there! I mean, almost every place has a smoking and nonsmoking section so it really shouldn't be a problem.

i would vote yes to banning smoking in enclosed areas like restaurants, bar, malls, etc. but i'm against them banning it in open areas.

i think every place should have a area outside where people can go and smoke, that way everyone is happy and no one gets the secondhand pass on to them.

that is not good, when you cant go no where to smoke, like i say the owner of the bar and resturant need to do something to help with the smoker

Well it is not easy for everyone to have an open area for someone to smoke. I am a smoker (uhg) and I dont smoke inside other then my home, but that will be stopping soon. I would rather be outside. I dont know about everyone else but I have been in bars with people smoking and god know it is so hard to breath with the smoke and then the smoke effects and alot of people. I goto a club in Orlando that has an outside area and anymore that is the only bar/club I will goto.

I would definately vote for it. It is very nasty when somebody is smoking, where I am. Also, I do not think that smoking is a normal thing.... I simply hate it. ANd I will never understand people who needs it. It is not good for anything, and most of them do not care with others, they do not even notice that the smoke disturbs other peopple. I have asthma. A few days ago I did some gym (like every day) in the living room, and the window was open as usual - I suppose one of my neighbours was smoking at the balcon, because I smelt it. I had to take my medicine because I felt bad so much.

i am sorry to hear that. people who smoking not only effect themselves but also people who around them, second hand smoking is actually worst them smoking it themselves, so i have nothing against people who smoke but i think they need to think of other people when they smoke, because other people may not like it or get sick from it.

The smoking Nazis have been in my city for a few years now, they are getting worse all the time. At first it was restaurants and bars, then they built on patios for the smokers, last week they banned smoking on patios so now when you go to a bar or restaurant you have to go through a cloud of smoke to get in the front door as everyone stands there and smokes. I am not a smoker but I think that the non smokers have infringed on the rights of smokers. Political correctness run amok. They are now talking about banning it from bus stops, jeez...rules rules everywhere!

that is not good, they need to make an area like on the side of the building or something for smokers, or the back door or something. and banning on bus stop is just dumb i can understand on a bus but bus stop?

I would definitely vote for smoke banning in public places, trains included... why? well because it's about a public place and, most of all, because that way we are not promoting the smoking activity... hence, that way people will be discouraged... I'm not against smoking... every one that wants to smoke should do it... it's ok by me... but I'm for smoking banning in public places... it's nothing else than a common sense;)
