Will you try a money making website if you're not sure if it's a scam or not?

If you don't know whether or not a money making site is scam, will you still try it if it doesn't cost anything? I like to experiment, so I'm currently testing out a couple of ptr sites that I'm not sure if they actually pay or not. Since they are free to join and don't take much effort to actually participate in, I feel like I'm not really risking anything. I'm close to payout in both of them so I guess I'll soon find out if they are legit programs or not. I'm hoping they are legit, but I'll try not to be too disappointed if they are scams.

I am so new to trying to make money online, I am beginning to think that it is a scam to where you get many calls from companys because you ended up on their site, or like myLot, where you have to not only have time, but a great conversation starter. I think that is my problem, trying to start a discussion that is interesting to others as well as myself. And I am not looking for a Big payout, but something better than 10.00 bucks a month....

I don't mind trying ones that don't cost me any money. Sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't. At least I only lose time and not money.

Yes though loosing time can be just as disappointing as loosing money depending on how much time you put into it.
