Do we really need to go to school to be called as a learned people?

I am so tired of going to school. I felt that most of my life was spent in school learning those theories, mathematical equations, articles, etc. which I believe is useless when you are now in the real world. Is learning can be acquire only at school? Is schooling can make as a better person? Do you know where else can we gain learnings aside from school?
