You need to see if your internet explorer java is it enable or disable? maybe you accidently disable it. You can edit the java setting at your internet explorer. Under Tools Internet Options. At the Advanced Tab, check your Java setting. If this does not works, you can try install Internet Explorer 7 but make sure your Window XP is at service pack 2 cos you need service pack 2 to install internet explorer 7.

As a web designer/developer , your Web pages should be browser compatible (meaning it look good on all major browsers like IE, Mozilla based browsers, Opera and Safari.) If you are using the latest Dreamweaver software then you are on the right track because Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 has a browser compatibility checker that checks if your HTML codes are compatible to all web browsers (Its a great tool really).

Its no doubt that your IE supports javascript because javascript support had been enabled in IE since its 2nd version which is very old. The next thing is you might be writing wrong code of javascript, DO YOU KNOW EVEN WRITING CAPITAL LETTERS INSTEAD OF SMALL LETTERS IN JAVASCRIPT MAKES IT NOT WORKING. So check the upper and lower case carefully and then try it and i am sure you will make it.

Before you can enable Javascript you must have the Java Virtual Machine. You can download it from "Java.com". After this you should be able to run javascript. If you are still having problems I suggest you visit,java.com. It loaded with information. Also signup for updates while you are there. I hope this work. Anyway its a great website and its loaded with information that you can use on your computer (pc, labtop, notebook etc).
