I got a friend on the net a few months ago. We were so found of ourselves and eventually decided to meet in July. one evening, she called and told me that a friend of hers will be coming to see her and that we would meet after the friend has gone. Three days to our planned meeting, she sent an email to me saying that she's still in love with her former boyfriend and for which reason, she cannot make the appointment.
My question is this,: have i been a fool? I must confess that i didn't suspect any foul play untill the game was over.

I am not a man but I just had to answer this anyways. I have a friend who acts like this. She picks dates with men, and get them hopefull only to turn them down when the time comes. I have no idea what she gets out of this - unless it gives her somekind of feeling of power or something.
A male friend of mine had the exactly same thing happen to him as u described, only they actually met a few times before she decided that she wanted to go back to her ex....

Pretty much--- sounds like she was dangling her feet to see what else was out there, or looking for a temporary surrogate while they were having a rough spot.
Thing is, it happens....time for the next try! Who knows, might end up with someone you'll marry---like I did, well not quite married yet, but October 6th.
