You see them everywhere!! Those plastic clog sandals that are the latest fashion are apparently a health hazard to children. Payless Shoestores has recalled children's plastic clog sandals, like Dora the Explorer and Bob the Builder designs. Apparently there are plastic rivets that can come loose or be taken out and they pose a choking hazard. If you have any plastic clog sandals, take them back to the store and tell them you heard news that Payless is recalling them!!

I do see them everywhere. My neighbors children all wear them..They are 4 and 5 years old. I do believe they are wearing the plain colored ones. thank you for this information.

Check the rivet to see if it looks like it could be removed. It was the plastic rivets they recalled I think, but check the metal ones too.

Well that isn’t good- My daughter has Crocs- but they are not sold at Payless- I bet it is the generic brand of Crocs that is having the problem- Plus my daughter is 10 so I’m sure she wouldn’t have them anywhere near her mouth- I hope no one has choked on these already- Crocs are so comfortable! I have a pair too!

I don't recall hearing Crocs in the report. They said Payless selling Dora the Explorer and Bob the Builder.

I looked for a link, but I heard it on tv and can't find it online. Don't ever doubt that a kid will put something in the mouth, no matter how old they are. These sandals come small enough for toddlers even.

So many products both food and non food are recalled these days. Most of the time we cannot keep up with the news enough to know everything that is going on. I think it's important to tell as many people as we can if we hear about a recall that may affect them and the Internet is a great tool for things like this.
