The coconut tree itself has adjudged as "tree of Life". Coconut is a fruit with so much benefits. The coconut juice makes a refreshing beverage. It helps people with kidney problems. The coconut oil is good for cooking and now is a certified renewable fuel as coco-diesel is being introduce to the biofuel market. coconut meat is so delicious and it is great for salad. Even the coconut husk is used for scrubbing the floor. Have a coconut today.

I love coconut, it's a staple to some great Puertorican dishes that I grew up with. Such as: candied rice, in which you add coconut milk and some fresh grinded coconut to rice while it's cooking, add sugar, vanilla extract, raisins and cinnimon. Let cool and refriderate, eat cold (if u eat it hot it will give u a tummy ache). There's also coconut candy: you take and drain fresh shredded coconut, mix it with sugar and cook it on low heat until it browns, stirring all the time. It keeps well and is a traditional favorite. We also use it to make chicken, put in rice with pinneapple, bake it into desserts and use the milk to sooth burns. The shell is fun to cut in half and use to serve a popular drink called coquito made from coconut milk, sugar and Puertorican rum.

Oh yeah and I also use this coconut oil cream for my hair. Helps keep my curly hair soft and shinny as well as being great to keep dark hair dark naturally.

Coconut tree is very useful to mankind, not only the fruit but the whole tree. Thr fruit gives us delicious meat and fresh water to drink and it act as cleanser to our body. The coco milk is used as main ingredient in different recipes such as laing, ginataan and native delicacies. Sometimes I mix the coco milk with its water add some milk and ice cubes and drink it, its refreshing. The discarded coconut meat is used as food for chicken. The trunk is used as post or made into a lumber and its sawdust is used in gardening or in cooking. The branches and leaves are made into shades and cleaning materials and decorative artifacts.

I didn't know that coconut had the benefits of handling kidney problems. My mom comes from the West Indies and I remember going there as a kid and they cut open a certain coconut and get some coconut milk, which is quite refreshing; the coconut meat is soft and very delicious; I surely miss that because I haven't been down to the West Indies in some time, but I remember having it and enjoying the meat especially.

You are so Pinoy na Pinoy. As Filipinos, we should be proud of our globally competitive cocnut industry. By the way, you forgat to mention about the Virgin Coconut Oil, which is now gaining worldwide fame as a food supplement as a major cosmetic ingredients.
