Premature Birth

Premature birth is on the rise in the USA. No matter where you live, did you or someone you know give birth to a premature baby? What week preemie was baby? How much did baby weigh? Why was baby born early?

I first Son was born at 33 weeks. He was 4 lbs and 12 oz. I PROMED at 32 weeks. Doctors are not sure why I promed, but it may have something to do with the heart defect he was born with. Sadly he only lived 4 days.

I have had five preemies due to a fault in the sac that surrounds the baby. My smallest was 675g,910g, 1155g,1353, 2150g they were born between 24 and 34 weeks

thankfully i am not one of them. I have had my scares, as you know. .. But i am doing much beter now. so i just cross my fingers that they continue to go well.

My 2nd child was born at 33 weeks and weighed 5 lbs 2 1/4oz but quickly dropped some weight. I had placenta abruptia and they never did find out why that happened to me and have told me that I would be classified as high risk if I have anymore babies.
