Anyone in the same situation?

I've been playing Runescape on and off for a while now and I am a f2p player. I would really like to become a member, but my dad says that it's a waste of money and it will have a bad influence on my studies. He's basically against the whole priniciple of paying monthly so he's impossible to convince. I'm tempted to just pay in cash through the mail and wait a while to become a member. Anyone else in the same situation?

I think that if you have the money to send in via mail, then you should. Just make sure that you make the most of your membership by working on member skills and quests, just in case you cannot afford to renew it each month. I've recently become a member and I love all of the benefits. The simple fact that there are less macroers is enough to make me change over. =] Malyck

I reccomend to either persuade your dad to get you some money for membership, or to make money on the webs, since cash payments are quite unreliable.
