I went there for 5 days on a business trip, but I didn't really like it in the netherlands. I did love it when I lived in SD though.

I haven't been to Naples yet but would like to in order to visit nearby places like Sorrento, the Almalfi coast, the small island of Capri and the site of the volcano. I have seen photos of the buildings tightly packed on the cliffs with the blue ocean below. I have been to Venice and the large island of Sardinia. It would be great to see more of beautiful Italy. I like to eat pasta and citrus fruits the grow there. I think that Italian is a beautiful sounding language.

I have lived in Naples for 11 months. It destroyed my dreams/ illusions about Italy as a beautiful, educated country with high standards and amazing culture. Bull***t!!! I'm not saying that everyone who lives in Naples is terribly dull, arogant & intolerant. Unfortunately, out of all the people I met there (amd that included teachers, lawyers and reps of other noble professions)only one guy turned to be worth attention. Shame I met him only a few weex before I was going back home. I realy wish I could spend some more time with him, but honestly- not in Naples. There are better places in Italy, for sure. When you go north, people tend to be more open-minded and tolerant. Apparently, people in tuscany are very friendly. On the other hand, if you are a foreigner- for Italians you will always be one, especially in Naples. Not so wonderful, in fact.
