Why are people so in human

I wonder if people are too stressed up that they go about shooting or kill someone.Here in my country Malaysia a man planned with his Indonesia maid to kill his wife which materialized.Than we have another case where a three girl waws killed by her mum boyfriend than put into a tub and burnt after that they throw her remains in a ravine near a cementry.The world would have heard of the Mangolian lady who waw blown to pieces down by our policeman.Why kill can't things be settle in a more harmony way?
