The hubby and I watched the movie Bobby last night. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0308055/ I didn't know too much about it going into it except it has a stellar cast. I also didn't know too much about Robert Kennedy either - shamefully. That movie was so good. I never realized what an incredible man he was with amazing beliefs. I just kept thinking of what our country could be like if he was not killed. It really has made me want to know more about him. WOW and his speech they played at the end was incredible. The cast did a fantastic job. It was amazing to see how many incredible actors where in it. And yep - I cried... Have any of you seen it? If so what did you all think? Do you know much about him?

I have not seen Bobby. It's not really my kind of movie. There's few "biography" type movies I'm interested in. I did love ALI though. For one, I've always admired Muhammad Ali. For two, I love Will Smith! But especially political people like presidents and stuff I'm just totally not too interested in. I don't know much about any of the Kennedys though so I'd probably be in the same boat as you about not knowing much. I wish I could be more interested in that sort of stuff than I am. In some ways it fascinates me but at the same time I get so easily distracted and bored with it that the fascination can't stay.

This one wasn't really about Bobby per say. But his ideas and visions where prominent throughout it. That's what made it interesting for me. I usually watch these kinds of movies cause of my hubby. But I was the one who wanted to watch it because of the cast mostly. Usually when a bunch of big namers get together for a movie - it's usually good. Plus I thought I could learn something too.

I do like learning stuff. Maybe if I see it on TV sometimes I'll record it to watch it. Or at least try. I record movies with TiVo all the time and end up getting bored and deleting them! Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the Cooler were two of them. I always think this sounds really lame, but It actually is pretty cool (talking about learning stuff) but there's this book I have that talks about how you can learn stuff from movies. It gives you a bunch of movies (up to about 2003) to watch with these activities and things to think about so you can learn stuff about your own life and problems from the movies. I think movies are a great source to learn things from.

Oh no no no. I TRIED to watch Mr. & Mrs. Smith but I was bored after the first half hour of the movie that I just turned it off. I like action, but that was boring. Maybe I'll check out bobby sometime if I see it on tv.
