That, my friends, is the approximate sound of a golf ball striking the sweet spot of a well-swung driver. It may not be as satifying as pounding on someone's head (like a certain surgeon I know), but it will help me stay out of jail. That's important at this time, don't want to see Dot for the last time in a prison visiting parlour! Bro and I went to the driving range and crushed a bucket of balls yesterday. What I really need is a batting cage, but the ones around here suck. You just can't strike a golfball with the same level of pure, unmitigated violence I routinely unleash on a softball. The concentration involved in making a good golf swing is nice, though, it causes the rest of the stuff to fade away, even if only for a moment. I've never played a single round of golf in my entire life, but I enjoy smacking those little white orbs to kingdom come! Once I got warmed up, I popped a few 150 yarders, and two that even came close to 200 yards. I imagine we'll be going there somewhat regularly for a while. I will have to make time to ride up to Philly to my favorite batting cages, though. Sometimes, unmitigated violence is the only thing that will do the trick!

Your last line says it all. "Sometimes, unmitigated violence is the only thing that will do the trick!" For me... hitting a golf ball is only going to pass the time until I see who or what pizzed me off to begin with. I don't forget and try to avoid who ever it was just so I don't hurt someone. There are a lot of people who I have erased from my life. Why should I forgive someone who stabbed me in the back. We are all guilty of 1 of the 7 deadly sins. Wrath is my sin. I KNOW if I beat someone's tail into the ground they will think twice about doing it to someone else. It makes the world a better place 1 person at a time.
