How many hours per week should people work?

I work around 35 hours a week and it's okay, but I often feel like I don't have time to do anything by the time I get home. I feel bad for people who work 40 hours. During college, I work 20 hours and go to school full time to pay for it and with homework, class, and work, theres no time for anything fun. If you ask me, people should only need to work 30 hours a week. But with things being so expensive and demands for luxuries being so high, it's pretty much impossible to work fewer hours.

Hmm, my main job is officially 32 hours a week but I usually do 45, then I come home and I work on my own business for about 3 hours a night, then I also work at online things for an hour or so a week.Usually I'll go away and work at an event at weekends too.To be perfectly honest, I get up at 6, go to bed at 10 and probably am only not working for 2 hours a day of that almost every day of the week. Its just the way the world is if you want to pay all the bills.

perhaps you need to go see a financial consultant and find out where all this money is going

You should be able to make enough money to pay all the bills and live well on less than 40 hours a week. However, many people keep buying more and more junk on credit, and have to work more to pay off the interest on all those loans and cards.
