well...i'm from romania and to be honest,despite what others sais (that we are thiefs and things like that), Romania is a beautiful country. I love it and i hope i'll change something! if you have any questions, i'm here to answer:)

My father is from Transylvania (Albu si Festinger), my mother is from Timisora (Loghin). I was born here and visited twice. One day I would like to take my children and my husband but we can't afford the plane tickets. Maybe in 5 years. Can you find a link on the internet for a website that sells childrens books. They would have to ship to the US. I would like them to learn Romanian as well. thanks... ;o)

I met some lovely people from Romania while staying in Israel. They also said it is a beautiful place.
I have read a little about Romania. What is your favorite thing about your country? What should we know if we were ever to visit?

well...you could visit the capital Bucharest...but you should start with the 'soul' of this country, Transylvania. It is the land were our ancestors lived and fought for centuries so we can live now in peace...you could visit the fortifications around Orastiei mountains (they say that in the past, were almost 2000 km of fortifications on the mountains)...you could visit Sighisoara, which is a medieval city. Also, Brasov or the european capital of culture, Sibiu (it is a beautiful city)...there would be much more...you could visit the land were lay the "wood civilastion" (we call them like this because there you shall se beautiful houses made only with wood, huge gates of wood of different types and many many other things:) )

When I was in high school... my sophmore year we had some twin sisters come to our school as new students. They moved here from Romania. They were a couple of the nicest people I have ever met. So friendly and compassionate about others feelings! Although I do not have any questions about Romania... I just wanted to put my two cents in about my experience with Romanian people!
