I've seen discussion in here about bad neighbors, neighbors from hell, nosy neighbors and etc. I'm wondering are you a good neighbor yourself ? What's your category of judging someone's a good neighbor or not ?

Gee, I wonder where you got the inspiration for this discussion? hehee... I like to think I'm a good neighbor...I don't start arguments...Uh, yet unless my neighbor who cooks all that smelly food kicks in about cat odor again...I don't stick my nose into other people's business or gossip--urgh...my super on the other hand...if you tell him ANYTHING, might as well post it on the front cover of the National Enquirer..I don't have loud parties until 5 in the morning (like smelly cooker neighbor used to have)--I will play music loud but only in the daytime....All in all I think I'm a good neighbor and am polite and will greet and smile to a fellow neighbor if I bump into them and maybe chit chat a bit

I would like to think that I'm a good neighbor. I try my best not to do things that can be annoying to my neighbors such as playing very loud music and being snooty. I made fast friends with them because for one, they themselves are very friendly and helpful. I even had to give away one of our dogs for adoption because she was so noisy especially at night. We have a very quiet neighborhood and I'm very thankful that my neighbors have a very high tolerance for such things. But my husband and I decided to put Bea for adoption instead. Her noisiness was uncontrollable. And we were really worried about our neighbors reactions to it. A good neighbor is someone who minds their own business and only butts in when there are real emergency cases. They are sensitive to their other neighbors privacy and feelings.

I guess I could be described as the apathetic neighbor. Sometimes I just don't care what's happening with my neighbors. Also, with the schedule that I keep, it's hard to befriend or establish connection with my neighbors. I leave early in the morning and come back late at night during week days and on sundays, I mostly just stay inside and catch up on my sleep or my reading that I don't get to interact with them. But I do thank God that I have neighbors, otherwise, I won't have someone to run to for help in case I need one. And just recently I did seek them out for help when I got stuck in my bathroom.
