I was just wondering if movies tell the truth regarding history of so and so and things that are factual?

No they twist the story to sell the story even biographies and documetaries twist alot of facts to sell the story, its all about making money.

I think most if not all movies are based on a certain truth but of course producers, directors and the screenwriters have to tweak the truth for the sake of suspense, drama and other needed effects otherwise a movie becomes bland.

Unless the movie is a documentory or a biography of someone the answer is no. Movies are made to entertain people and bring profits to the company who makes the movies. Sometimes millions are spent to produce the movie and this money has to be earned back.

no, i dont think so, i think producers are more concern for if the plot will sell or not,or what the moviegoers want to see in a movie than the historical significance of the sory
