Can anyone help me? My son decided to be an artist and colour on himself with a marker! How can I get this orange marker out of his brand new beige coloured pants? Can anyone help me out here? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! :)

I use OXY powder pal , It is brilliant it gets almost anything out , I found the piece below on the net the material is acetate, use methylated spirit then wash as normal. In all other cases the article should dry cleaned. try viegar too it is a brilliant stair remover , Hope these help xxx

You used to be able to buy it from the chemist years ago but to be honest I don't think you can get it now , I will have an internet search for you xx I found this one too Remove marker pen marks (includes biros, fountain pens etc) - if a ink eraser doesnt work, then use nail polish remover with a swab stick. It works a treat! For instance, on my digital camera and on my 7210 phone i freaked as my little cousin decided to draw a face on my phone, and i smudged biro ink on my camera. All it took was a dip of a q-tip in nail polish remover and a light brush across the surface and bingo, its removed!

Thanks so much for the tip on nailpolish remover...It worked wonders on my end table but not on the pants so the search is still on! I've been running errands today and now I have to go to work so I appreciate your web search also. I'd really like to save these pants if I can! :)

I use SA8 Solutions Prewash with Enzymes and the regular SA8 with Bioquest. Just squirt the marker area and wait about 1 hour, then wash as usual with SA8 detergent. Usually, I'd only say wait a few minutes, but this sounds like a tough one! You'll never find a netter solution to your laundry stains as that. It even comes with a 100% money back guarantee and a prepaid return label in the order. You have 180 to use it and if it doesn't work, you will get a full refund or exchange - you decide. My gugess is you'll keep it. SA8 Solutions is the best kept secret on the planet. Eco-Friendly too. Here's the link to get it. http://ccross6.qhealthzone.com/products/product.aspx?itemno=E8945 If this doesn't do it - nothing can. QuixKid

Thanks so much for this QuixKid :) I have tried several treatments already and I still have some on my list left to try but I thank you for yet another item to try as it is really important to me that I get this stain out! Welcome to MyLot QuixKid and thanks so much for your help and your response. I really appreciate it! :+)

You're welcomed! I know the pain laundry can be. I had a SOn and 27 Foster Children - all under the age of 12 - It took me awhile to find SA8 Prewash Spray - a friend told me about it - and even though I do sell it - it was only because I was a customer first. It's great !

OOPS - for ink use the SPRAY PREWASH - here's the link http://ccross6.qhealthzone.com/products/product.aspx?itemno=E0799 Sorry about that. They both are great, just for different things. Same guarantee applies.

Hi heavenschild, I'm so very sorry to hear about the marker on your son's pants. I 'really' know 'exactly' what you're speaking of. I'm at a loss for any great suggestions here, but the ones you've already been given sound like they could work. Did you try the Oxyclean yet? I trust things are looking up now, as far as the pants go.

I will keep you posted on the progress as the stain is still there however it is lighter...I will be trying the Oxy clean next time I do laundry and it has never gone into the dryer so there is still hope and I am not giving up!! Thanks so much for your response :+)

I hate that the worst was when Niam did it on brand new white cargo pants! I know this sounds silly but clear vinegar and salt rubbed into the marker worked for me! Hope this helps! Hugs xxx

Why oh why do children colour on everything?! Not even the salt and vinegar worked :( He just got these pants a month ago for his birthsy...I'm about ready to pull my hair out!! It is so frustrating....I've tried so many things now. My next course of action is OXY in with the wash water as Weemam suggested. Thanks again for the suggestion and I shall keep you posted on my progress :+)
