I love it, love it. I can't remember how I got hooked exactly, but I love the books and the movies. I have now finished the 7th book(sssssh! I ain't telling)and I want to start all over again. I love the fantasy, yet normal stuff the kids are dealing with. It's awesome.

At first I wasn't a big fan of harry potter. But then everyone in my class keeps on talking about it so I decided to check it out since I heard three kids were chosen to play the main characters from the book. I didn't read the first book...but saw the movie. Then I instantly wanted to read the second book...and everything started from there. I love harry potter because it alters reality. It's about love, friendship, revenge, good vs. evil, adventure, teenagers going through all sorts of stuff! The books are a combination of everything that a good book needs. The story is great and very addicting. Moreover, I am about the same age as the characters in the books and the movies. I guess, the books and the characters grow the same time as me.

My daughter has been Harry Potter fan since book one. I have teased her mercilessly about her 'addiction.' She finally convinced me to try and read book one a few nights ago. I finished it the next day! I am now on book two. Rowling is an excellent writer, and the fantasy is awesome. I also see many great lessons for readers to learn from the books. I really don't see why they are banned in some places. The wizardry and witchcraft are fantasy and there are some wonderful messages taught in the readings!

Nope. I wait for the movies. The books look too long for me. Reading books is not one of my hobbies. But I sure do enjoy the movies. I'm sure I'd enjoy the books too if I ever started one.

I've read the first 6 HP books. I will read the last one when I get it this week. I enjoy reading them because even though the people in it can do magic they still have the same basic problems thay we all face; problems at work, school, and with friends. They face lifes issues like losing loved ones and finding out who your real friends are. But most of all I read them because they are fun and well written.
