I use to cry at everything.. once upon a time.. now I have to have a bottle of bourbon under my belt to release that sort of emotion,....and even then it is just a moment at a time... I am stunted on anti depressants... it's not a bad thing.. but to be such an emotional person all your life..it can make you feel ever moment that you have ever felt. I think the main thing, is to have as a long term sufferer of depression, is to have a good support system behind you. with out that... man...it's friggin hard!!!..just know this.. if you don't have that, where you are.. you have reached out and people are here... I don't have a lot of time for people suffering from depression that I know personally who are victims..... A bit like a reformed smoker..... cruel and harsh i know, I am just being honest. If you ever need a wake up call.. you drop me a line directly... I'll be here for you, just be warned, there will be no sympathy... just hard facts... you stay strong.. the world will make you stronger!!! love to you and your loved ones.xxxxx

Hi, I understand why you have perceived this image of me..... I was not saying I was right..nor needing a lecture on what is right or wrong... I am not saying the way I have gone in my life is right...at all!!!. In my heart I have true compassion for sufferers of depression....... BUT as you said..... I am a bit like a reformed smoker.. I think there is a stage of assertiveness with aggression that takes over.......Sorry if I have come across heart less..that was not my intention...

I had a day like that yesterday. For some reason yesterday my mood just got shot down. I had the house to myself yesterday, parents were gone for the night and I just felt like crap. Hopefully your day will perk up soon. Good luck.

I think everyone has days like this. I know that doesn't really offer much comfort, though. I'm sorry you're having a bad day. :( I've learned through other people that around about the middle of every month, Mercury goes into Retrograde, and when that happens, it seems like all hell breaks loose. People get snippy and snarky with each other for no apparent reason, they suffer mood swings, and life in general just really sucks. *sigh* Do you take B-complex vitamins, by any chance? If not - and if you have no medical conditions preventing you from doing so - maybe you could try them. I believe they're called "Stress Tabs." I've heard they can really help level out one's moods... Weather also plays a role in mood swings - did you know that? If the weather is up and down (it's like that where I live: a yo-yo couldn't even keep up with the constant changes) for any length of time, it can affect moods.

To ALL ABOVE! I've just got to say thank you , thank you, thank you, it is great to get such support when it is not expected, it is better in a way from support from those you would expect to get it from, like family or siblings. i'm feeling really blessed right now. Romie06

Hi Romie06. It's hard to deal with this stuff alone. I know it might feel like you're the only person who's having a rough time, sometimes, but you're not. Isn't it great to know you're not alone? :)

Hi Romie, do not worry, you are not alone. I myself experience this once in awhile. Reading your responses is a proof that not only YOu and Me experience this once in awhile. I believe people have come to the point in their life that they just want to cry at every thing. I don't know why, I feel a failure myself and not satisfied and happy with my life. That's how I truly feel these days. God bless!

Yes, Romie06, I can definitely relate. Happened to me a lot. Meds and therapy have gotten me through. I still have those days, but not as often. You could try meditation (lots of good podcasts online) or yoga. Might help. Good luck to you and hope you feel better soon.

Hi Romie. How are you feeling today? How have you been feeling since you opened this discussion? Are things looking a little less gray for you today, or do you still feel like you're locked in a cloud and you can't find your way out? Please know that there are many people who are here to support you, myself included...

Exactly, mztracy. Exactly. What works for one may not work for everyone, and for people who are clinically depressed, the concept of "positive thinking" may not work even half the time, never mind all of the time. It's not as simple as the gentleman above is trying to make it appear...

Well, sometimes its unavoidable that we feel depressed for the day..but for the health its not a good side, i believe in Meditation which will balance our mind and helps to be normal at situations

It happens to everyone now and then. Make sure you are getting enough sleep and taking care of yourself. Have you exercised today? That might help. Also, try some St. John's Wort tea, that is supposed to help elevate your mood naturally. Best of luck to you.
