this is my first book that i've read on harry potter. though i've watched the movies and read the summary of the books. i must say that JK Rowling did a great job revealing information about some of the main characters especially on how the past affects the present. it's amazing how Rowling did link the pieces of information from one book to another and ending them up in the last book. now i must read the whole series but i think i'll start from the half blood prince where dumbledore died. i'm looking forward to see this movie in 2010. i just hope that they would not delete some good actions like they did to the order of the phoenix.

I enjoyed reading it just like the other 6 books in the series. On the other hand, knowing that it is the last book, i feel a bit sad. The book has put an end to the Harry Potter book series. Meaning, there's no more to look forward to... :-(

I'm afraid you're gonna have to read from the beginning...you won't get all of it...besides, the movies always omit important facts and such...even the smallest things matter.

It is a gret book, but I did not get into starting to read the Harry Potter books till the third book was getting ready to come out.I was going to wait till it came out and get that one. But,my sister said that I would not understand unless I had read the previous one's.So,I got book one and two read them in time for book three (speed reader!,lol)and she was right.I suggest that you read the other books first,so that you will understand it better. There are things that happen and are said that are from scenes in the other books.
