Maybe because this is the last project of Hideo Kojima. And the trailer said it to, they said he choose his destiny for the country or die.

Kojima says in one video witch he will die...
But, snake is great and the better!

He is sooo old in this one. Is it solid snake though? I saw he had an eyepatch which would say he is big boss. The game looks incredible though.

Maybe at the end. They did say in the trailer that he only has a few weeks to surivive. Either during the game or a little after.
