letting go

why is it so hard to let go of someone you've been with for a few months?
even if this person shows no respect or doesn't care about you anymore, you're still having a hard time letting go? and it takes like, forever for you to get over this person?
is that normal?
let's say you spent 3 months together and its already been almost 5 years and you still choose to be trapped in the past.

i do felt the same way.
At least we already try to let go this person.
that mean we already order our mind to let go all the good memories of this person or all about this person. we will forget about it.
but takes time.
